I saw New Moon a couple of days ago. I enjoyed it to bits, and so did the hebephile (it's the right word - google it) in me appearantly... Oh, God! Seriously, I'm not that big of a Taylor-fan (he is a pretty boy and all that but I can conrtol myself) - but holy hell! Jake is hot!
The extreme lack of Emmett and Jasper is so sad - I guess I'll just have to wait patiently for Eclipse.

New Moon

So I've decided to post all the pictures I've collected from all over.. I would love to give credit - but I seriously have no clue where I got the all.
Big thanks to the people over at [info]twilightxchange, I'm guessing most come from the wonderful members over there.

Pop sensation Lady Gaga says she was secretly pleased when Britney Spears rejected one of her songs because she was allowed to keep the tune for herself.

The Poker Face hitmaker carved out a career as a songwriter, penning tracks for artists including the Pussycat Dolls, before she shot into the limelight with her 2008 debut The Fame.

Lady Gaga admits one of her tracks, Telephone, on her new album The Fame Monster, was originally written for Spears, but when Spears rejected the song, Lady Gaga recorded it herself and brought Beyonce on board as well.

Lady Gaga tells E! Online, "I wrote it for her a long time ago and she just didn't use it for her album - it's fine because I love the song and I get to perform it now."

Redrum backwards spells “sequel.” Thirty-two years after Stephen King’s third novel, The Shining, was published, the prolific horror maestro has announced that he’s considering penning a follow-up.

The Torontoist reported that King dropped the news at a book reading for his new novel Under the Dome moderated by movie director, and brother in horror, David Cronenberg. According to the author, the second novel would center on Danny Torrance, the young boy from the original story with the gift (or curse) of being able to communicate clairvoyantly with ghosts, and who is now an appropriately aged 40-year-old. All these years after being tormented by the spiritual inhabitants of the Overlook Hotel and his father’s alcoholism/homicidal rage, Danny is now working at a hospice using his supernatural powers for palliative purposes. King even offered a tentative title: Doctor Sleep.

King mentioned that he began working on the idea last summer, but that he isn’t entirely committed to writing it quite yet.

I love the book (and the mini-series starring Steven Weber and Rebecca De Mornay) so much. I'd read the sequel.

Update:
On the heels of the news that best-selling horror master (and EW columnist) told the audience at a Toronto book signing that he was considering writing a sequel to The Shining, King tells EW.com that he’s got no immediate plans to revisit the character of Danny Torrance. “It’s a great idea, and I just can’t seem to get down to it,” says the author in an e-mail. “People shouldn’t hold their breath. I know it would be cool, though. I want to write it just for the title, Dr. Sleep. I even told them [at the book signing], ‘It will probably never happen.’” Still, King — whose most recent novel is this month’s Under the Dome — can’t quite shut the door on the Shining sequel, adding, “But ‘probably’ isn’t ‘positively,’ so maybe.”

“Barf!” Rihanna squealed, at the sight of a pair of pale pink satin Brian Atwood stilettos. In her world this is a compliment. “Usually it’s ‘ill’ or ‘I want to throw up on it,’ ” she explained. “But barf is the worst,” meaning the best. “Barf is 10 out of 10.”

In a no-frills rehearsal space near the Burbank airport, Rihanna, the R&B star, was picking out the sickest outfits for her next few weeks of appearances. “This whole line is barf,” she said, pointing to a row of aggressively designed suits and dresses that her stylists had laid out. It was the day before the American Music Awards, at which she would perform a medley of two songs from her new album, “Rated R,” released this week by Def Jam, and team Rihanna — a group as big as 30, including hair and makeup artists, dancers, musicians, managers, wardrobe wranglers, production designers, a trainer, a doctor, an assistant, a videographer and one very patient best friend forever — were bustling to prepare.

While Rihanna slipped behind a screen to twirl around in gowns (clearly a favorite activity), a few hippie craftsmen bolted decorative bullets onto microphone stands nearby. The look for Rihanna’s performances will be sexy-tough, the diva you don’t want to mess with; her lyrical slogan, she said, is “I’m such a freaking lady,” using the radio-friendly version.

Over at Strange Horizons, author Karen Healey has an amazing essay about body transformations in young adult fiction. She looks at adolescent physical changes in several novels, including the Twilight series. Vamp-loving hero Bella, she argues, is hardly passive.

Healey writes:

Bella is often accused of passivity, but although there are certainly faults to be found with her fixation on romance to the exclusion of all other interests, she doesn't actually lack forward momentum. She's the sexual aggressor and instigator of change in her relationship, hurtling through milestones at breakneck speed-first love, first soul-crushing breakup, marriage(she is bribed into it actually), sex, (spine-crushing) childbirth, and motherhood in less than two years-before achieving her goal of eternity in a fairy-tale cottage with her loving family. Her transformation is agonizing and traumatic, but, aware of the risks and owning her choice, she pushes unrelentingly for it anyway. Although I do wonder if Bella's really considered the ramifications of repeating high school over and over again, as her husband and new siblings-in-law do-after this ultimate transformation, she has perfection, but a static and essentially unchanging one.

All in all, I think I prefer YA where the protagonists aren't ever totally satisfied with their transformations. I like fiction that acknowledges the difficulty and terror of acquiring new bodies and new attitudes, but promises that change is not only inevitable, but can be a mindful and ongoing process of self-making, aiming for better days ahead.

Also, for anyone who likes Vivien Leigh, there's a small selection of photos here of her and her cats. I always thought that Vivien Leigh had a lovely face - a little hard and almost cruel, but very lovely. She really was the perfect Scarlett O'Hara despite being English.

LOS ANGELES — When Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger hears the word “Cut!” these days, it is generally coming from his own mouth, in reference to state expenditures.

Soon he could also hear it uttered by Sylvester Stallone, who is luring the governor back to the big screen in an action picture, “The Expendables,” in which the governor is expected to play himself.

Mr. Schwarzenegger’s spokesman would not comment on whether he would be paid, but the State of California will not benefit much. The governor’s scene will be shot in Los Angeles, but the rest of the film will be made in Brazil and Louisiana, according to Mr. Stallone’s spokeswoman, Michelle Bega.

As part of California’s new budget, lawmakers passed a tax incentive for filmmakers to keep productions in the state. Mr. Schwarzenegger was an enthusiastic backer, insisting the problem of runaway production had too long been ignored by Hollywood and Sacramento.

His spokesman, Aaron McLear, said, “This governor has always pushed for films to be shot in this state, and he will continue to do so.”

Mr. Stallone’s film narrates the life and times of a team of liberators who infiltrate an unnamed South American country to overthrow its dictator. The cast includes Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Forest Whitaker and Eric Roberts.

In a recent interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News, Mr. Schwarzenegger, who has made more than 40 movies, said he had appeared in three since becoming governor, all cameos at the request of friends. “Sly asked me if I would do a cameo,” Mr. Schwarzenegger said. “I said, ‘Of course, I’ll help you and do a cameo. There’s no two ways about that.’ ”

But Ms. Bega seemed more guarded. “The manner in which Governor Schwarzenegger will participate in ‘The Expendables’ has not yet been formally determined,” she said.

As fearless bureaucrat Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler usually has her hands full with her day job. Behind-the-scenes, Poehler is much more of a multi-tasker. Besides starring in the NBC comedy, the Emmy nominee returned to her old SNL Weekend Update stomping grounds this fall, and she is also raising her first child, 13-month-old Archie, with hubby Will Arnett. How does she do it? To find out, TVGuide.com turned to Poehler, who also discusses her blossoming series, her relationship with fellow NBC star Tina Fey and whether she'll appear on her best friend's show.

Every Monday night, the 32-year-old singer’s band performs at the bar, which arguably has the best burgers in town. Last night, Gav joined the band on stage for a two-song set surprise performance.

Gav is currently working on his fourth album, due out early summer

Pussycats not speaking

*

The rest of the Pussycat Dolls are not on speaking terms with Nicole Sherzinger -- reducing hopes of the group ever reuniting.

Despite claims from their label, Interscope, that the girls are merely "on a break," a source told Page Six, "It is war.

They have broken up for good.

None of the other girls are speaking to Nicole, who they believe took the limelight, then went off to do her own thing." Kimberly Wyatt recently revealed she hadn't heard from Sherzinger, who's now working on a solo career, in months. Interscope didn't get back to us.

Who will nab the bids when the nominees for the 52nd Grammy Awards are announced on Dec. 2? Its been a banner year for music, so there's no clear frontrunner, but there will be plenty of familiar faces in the running for multiple awards. So far, the drama swirling around this year's nominations encompasses not only who will be recognized, but who isn't eligible and whether or not the Grammy committee will change the rules to accommodate one particularly "famous' singer and songwriter for the coveted Best New Artist category.

Billboard runs down some of the leading contenders - and a few long shots - for the 52nd Grammy Awards nominations. Check back on Dec. 3 and see who made the list - and who didn't.

OK, I'm not saying Kanye deserves a grammy for 808s, but to say he'd be disqualified b/c of TSwift drama is BS. And I'm hoping TSwift won't be winning all these damn awards - I can understand popularity contests but I cannot understand her coming up on top for actual good-song based awards.

Regardless, who are your picks ONTD?

Gaga stans were overcome with panic when first day sales numbers indicated that "The Fame Monster" could sell less than American Idol contestant Adam Lambert's debut album. However, according to this blurb from Hits Daily Double, Gaga's chart defeat to Lambert may only be a technicality.

Lady Gaga’s "Fame Monster" EP, an eight-song addition to the deluxe edition available on its own, will do 180-200k, while the new version (now merged on the charts with the original album) should do another 130-150k.

Translation: "The Fame Monster" could be on track to sell over 300k total, once you combine both numbers. Gaga stans, you can now focus all your hate on Susan Boyle.
